While KC-45 can be grown under lights, it is more appropriate for outdoor gardens. This multi-branched plant grows best in soil, especially with an organic fertilizing program. Once it roots, KC-45 will grow to a nearly 7-foot-tall Christmas tree, whose impressively long branches remain bare of leaves near the stem, but support meter-long colas. In outdoor environments, this plant will ripen by September 15; indoors, it takes 8-10 weeks to finish flowering.
Indoor plants are very high yielders, and outdoor yields can weigh in at over 3 pounds per plant. The buds that form are long and cylindrical. The colas are compact but not tight, because the individual flowers that make up the cola are slender rather than plump.
The smell from this plant is localized, but will burst with a strong lemon odor when touched. When smoked, the KC-45 high comes on rapid and strong. It retains the uplifting stone of its Brazilian sativa parentage, but modified a bit by the ruderalis, making this smoke less hyper than a pure sativa. The result is an energetic yet calm and settling high, well suited to gardening, hiking or leisurely sports. Medicinally, this variety has provided relief to some migraine sufferers and also is good for any condition which causes lethargy, as it can improve energy levels.
A slender plant of medium height, Kerala Krush has narrow leaflets and lonf petioles. indoors, best results are attained through pruning once or twice before flowering. Bending the lateral branches to 45 degrees reduces stretching by allowing light to distribute evenly throughout all the budding sites. Individual bracts are large and very resinous when left to mature fully. Buds form into long slender sativa-type flowers. Toward the end of the flowering cycle, the buds swell and become heavy and dense – the slight indica influence of Skunk #1. maturation times indoors are between 9 and 11 weeks with a 12/12 photoperiod.
Outdoors at 45 degrees latitude Kerala Krush matures in the first half of November, earlier if closer to the equator. A full May-November season outdoors produces plant over 3 meters (9 feet) tall when left unpruned. A good climate gives yields in excess of 500 grams per plant. The buds keep their weight and structure well when carefully dried and cured.
Kerala Krush has an extremely clear, cerebral high – potent and smooth from start to finish. her palate mixes cool fruit and warm spice. Medicinally sativa strain may be appropriate for appetite stimulation, menstrual cramps and controlling chemotherapy nausea.
Every grower strives to have a grow room full of good looking plants that are a walk in the park to grow, and Killing Fields gives you plants that hit both these buttons. The leaves in particular grow exactly like sativa leaves should, with thin profiles and an intense bright green color. The structure of the plant, too, is that of the typical sativa Christmas tree shape, so if any of your neighbors pop round, you will definitely need a brilliant disguise for your crop if you want to keep it as a secret garden.
These plants continue to grow for 4 weeks after they’ve been switched to a 12/12 lighting cycle, so there’s no need to allow them a long vegetative period – and doing so is a risky business as it might make them grow too large for your space. Killing Fields will be about 8 inches tall at the start of the flowering stage and will usually have grown to about 5 feet just before harvest. With a grow room full of plants this size, you can expect to have a yield of around 550 grams per square yard of grow space. The biggest yields come from a ScrOG set up using and organic soil medium, so this is the recommended technique by the breeder if you’re looking for one step up from the regular harvest.
The fat buds you’ve harvested will give off a spicy and sweet smell of overripe berries, and the resulting high is a very active, cerebral one that’s great for a daytime smoke. After a wake n bake your head will almost be blown right off, and walking around high as a kite in the sunshine, you’ll definitely feel like you’re in your glory days.
When transplanting your King’s Kush seedlings, you need to make sure that your light source is not too elevated from the middle as your sprouts will extend to get to the light and could give way under their own weight previous to you ever getting started. If you can manage to avoid this, then this medium sized Indica strain will grow to have elongated branches protruding both outwards and upwards. It will have profound green leaves and colored slightly with purple, because of the Grape Ape genetics. The same as with all purple strains, colder temperatures allow for the most intense colorings to come out. So, if you are growing outdoors in colder weather or should you decide to bring down the temperature of your grow room, you will be pleased when you notice the stunning display of violet and blues.
Although these plants appear somewhat docile in their stature, do not be scared to nourish them rather aggressively. Extreme feeding will produce enhanced flowering in this strain. If you are using a Hydro setup make sure that you flush it frequently to avoid excess build up in your system. This buildup can have a harmful impact on growth. The common flowering time for King’s Kush is about nine weeks. At the time of flowering the bluish purple veins on the plant will be going wild, which will give you a grow room that looks like something out of a movie. If you are growing outside you are probably going to want to harvest at the end of October.
King’s Kush is absolutely majestic in its grape scent, which is powerful, pungent, and tangy. There seems be tons of sweet weeds around so it is a nice change that this strain comes across as Sweet and Sour. Besides just the grape smell, there are also subtle hints of lavender. This smoke gives you an unbelievably hard hitting munchies-inducing high. Once this strain gives you are appetite back, you will fall into an extremely sluggish, dreamy and slightly euphoric condition that may be exactly what you are looking for.
